Headed to Pittsburgh and Cleveland Next Weekend!

Since I am also on the "United In Love" team I thought it was important for me to share some of my thoughts....

I must say I am counting the days until next weekend. It will be the first time that I have seen my parents since they came down to Charlotte in February. Obviously, some BIG things have transpired since we saw each other last. I can't wait to see my parents, brother and his family and of course the Miller family!

When my rents visited in February we took a trip to the jewelry store (Diamonds Direct Southpark) so they could see the ring I picked out for Krissy and I could make sure they approved of my selection (which they did). The ring selection process was actually quite enjoyable. It was intimidating at first, but with anything the more educated you become the more confident and comfortable you become. I was very lucky to have great people to work with at Diamonds Direct. They made the experience so effortless and fun. I also enjoyed going there, because every time you would walk in they would offer you a Coke. Every time I said yes.

So you may be thinking...or maybe not. He mentions February above, but they didn't actually get engaged until April 18th. After my parents left Mr. and Mrs. Miller came into town and that is when Mr. Miller and I had the proverbial guy talk. The hardest part was keeping that secret for a couple of months. I know my parents and Mr. and Mrs. Miller can agree with me on that one.

So Wednesday of next week (6/24) Krissy and I will leave after work and head to Pittsburgh. Thursday morning we have a few meetings scheduled relating to the wedding. One includes our visit to the Hyatt Regency, which looks like the leading candidate to host our wedding reception. Then that night the Miller's and Danburg's will make a trip to the "Cathedral of Baseball Stadiums" - PNC Park for the Indians Pirates game. Then the following day Krissy and I will head to Cleveland to spend time with the Danburg family and for a wedding on Saturday night in Cleveland. Friday night we will be taking in an Indians game at Progressive Field. Go Tribe!
