I know it has been a long time since Jarrid or I wrote on this blog and we really do have so much to share... but here is the important news... My mom, sister and I purchased my wedding gown yesterday! I can't believe it but it's true! I found the gown of my dreams and that's all I can tell you about it. So it will take 6 months for the dress to come in so we are looking at a January first fitting date. I am just so happy to have found exactly what I have been looking for and can't wait to see that groom-of-mine's face when he see's me in it for the first time!
I have lots of other updates to share including our engagement party, honeymoon details and more to share. So stay tuned, there will be more to come soon!

Busting a Move down the Aisle
I shared this video with most of our family and wedding party but had to share it here as well. Anyone that knows Jarrid and I know that we like to dance. And you better believe that we will be busting a move to Sweet Diamonds at our reception, but you have to check out this video:

Engagement Photos
So I am very excited because in less than 2 hours Jarrid and I will be taking some engagement photos. Meghan's (my roomie and bestie) mom is a photographer and agreed to take some pictures of us out at Longview. I am so excited because she told me she found a field of sunflowers for us to take some pictures. I think that just sounds amazing. I am also going to swing by the party store on my way home to grab a bundle of balloons. I have seen a lot of engagement photos using the balloons as a prop and I thought that would be lots of fun. Hopefully, I will have some photos to share with everyone tomorrow! Can't wait! I just pray that the rain holds off!

The Countdown is now Less than a Year!!!
So as of Friday, July 3rd 2009 Jarrid and I are offically less than one year away from our wedding. This weekend we celebrated the holiday with fantastic Charlotte weather. It was great to be home with no plans, and since Jarrid was still recovering from his illness this week we did a lot of relaxing. Jarrid surprised me with a photo video of us for our "Pre anniversary."
I'm so excited for everything to get started. I know that I feel differently as an engaged woman but I'm not so sure that all of the reality has set in yet. And I don't really know when it is going to. Hopefully soon! I'm just really excited for all the upcoming events and planning that is going to happen.

Martha Stewart Weddings... How I Love Thee
Obviously, this post is being written by the bride as I don't think you would ever hear the words Martha Stewart and love come out of Jarrid's mouth in the same sentence. With that said, its true the new issue of MSW is so fabulous and so fantastic that I am rebranding it the Bible of our wedding. If you don't want to spoil the Miller-Danburg wedding then don't look but if I have now peaked your interest I wont stop you. There are so many great ideas, DIY projects and just pretty things to look at.... I have already ordered some materials to start my place cards (yup I know that I have over a year till the wedding, So?) See if you can guess which place cards are my inspiration in the book.

What a Whirlwind Weekend
So after a short but efficient weekend in Pittsburgh and Cleveland Jarrid and I arrived back to Charlotte last night around 7:30. There were a lot of hectic things that have happened over the past couple of days from my car being broken into, to a long ride home to the Burgh on Wednesday night to Jarrid having a fever the whole ride home yesterday. But within all of the struggles we faced this weekend we also accomplished a lot. We have decided to have our reception at the Hyatt Regency at the Pittsburgh Airport. On Thursday morning, Jarrid and I with my mom and sister met up with The Danburgs to tour the hotel and ballroom. Our contact at the hotel is incredible. She made me feel very secure in our decision to hold our even at the hotel and honestly could not be a nicer person. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the second that you step inside you totally forget that you are right next door to the airport. I'm just so excited for all the planning that is going to take place over the next 370 days (yup almost a year to go!). Also while we were in Pittsburgh we were able to meet with our florist, who is awesome, look at some rehersal locations (I think we are pretty much settled on a location but its not official yet so I won't say just yet), and catch a Pirates game at PNC Park. One of the locations that we looked at for the rehersal was actually at PNC Park. We got a chance to tour all of there different options there while also taking in a ball game. The stadium is absolutely an awesome location if you are a baseball fan. I have to admit that I wasn't really looking forward to looking at PNC for a rehersal dinner, but I was plesantly surprised.
After our whirlwind day (yes we did all of that in one day) we hit the road again to head further north to Cleveland. Jarrid and I swung through his old home town where I got to see the house he grew up in, the schools he went to, and all of the hotspots that made Jarrid who he is today. We really had so much fun exploring. After that we went to his parents house for a little while and then to Danielle and Curtis' place to hang out with Hannah and Tyler. Then because we didn't get enough baseball in at PNC Park we headed to the Indians game at Progressive field. This place was awesome! We had suite tickets and Jarrid and I were able to get down in the dugout for the fireworks at the end of the night. Seriously, I think they were the best fireworks I have ever seen. Thanks to Curtis and Mr. Danburg for hooking us up with great seats and all the perks you could ever want at a baseball game. After the game we hung out with some of the Panthers people in for the wedding at an Irish pub called Flannery's. Lots of fun!
The next day we hung out at Curtis and Danielle's to see Hannah and Tyler for a little while. The got dressed and ready for Ryan and Sara's wedding. It was such a beautiful day for a wedding and everything was perfect. Their ceremony was at St. Paul's Shrine and then the reception was at the Hyatt in the Arcade. Everything about the wedding was really nice. We had so much fun dancing and eatting! Jarrid and I are known to cut a rug and that is exactly what we did that night!
The next morning we got up to meet the Danburgs for breakfast and then some quality time at Progressive Field before the game. It was kids day on the plaza so Tyler was dressed up in a Slider Baby costume and Hannah was dancing to all the Disney Radio music. We had so much fun hanging out and we were so sad to have to leave, but we had a 7 and 1/2 hour drive ahead of us. It was a good thing that we left when we did. As we made our way Jarrid started to feel under the weather. He definitely had a fever and we rode all the way home with the heat on so that he wasn't cold. After a long nights rest and literally sweating out the bad stuff, Jarrid felt slightly better today. I have a feeling that the culmination of wedding planning, traveling and day to day stress finally added up and slammed down on him. So if you think of it today say a little prayer that my groom is feeling better soon!
